◊First and foremost, we are now asking all writers to please place a hold (right here) on your play by, before applying. It should only take one minute of your time or less, but this is to ensure that your play by does not get held by another writer, before you get the chance to apply them in or the moderator(s) can get to the application to place the play-by on the pending list.
◊Second off, you must add the mod journal (![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) sanfranmod) to your friends list. Follow that with submitting membership requests in the following sub-communities; ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif) cityofhills, sanfrantrolley, sanfranradio, sfgoldengate, sfchronicle and sfchinatown. It is asked that you do join our story line community as well, sanfranalcatraz.
◊Your next step is to be sure that you are really ready to apply. That you have read the guidelines carefully and that you have at least two icons of your play-by uploaded into the “userpics” section of your journal. It is greatly preferred they are sized at 100x100 pixals (or at least one) – but not really required or considered a deal breaker. You will also need to make sure that you have a first entry, list of ten (or more) well written facts or a biography posted on your journal at least. Biographies may be written in first person if that is your preference as a writer.
◊Before taking the plunge and applying now that all of the above is done, we do have our directory (sfdirectory) that lists all fourteen of the neighborhoods we feature and focus around, for residential purposes in this game. You do not have to list what house, apartment, condo or even hotel room your character(s) lives in. Just simply put the name of the neighborhood you wish for them to reside in.
